Autoimmune hepatitis is when the immune system attacks the liver causing inflammation. It is treated based on the symptoms and the blood tests by knowing the function of the liver. Left untreated, it will damage the liver. You can have your regular checkups and medications. Ayurvedic medicines can be taken as supportive medicines. Allopathy medicines must be taken after consulting your physician when there are flareups.

Ayurvedic medicines like Sarvakalp kwath, Livomap tablet and Avipattikar Choorna can be taken for a month and reviewed.

Include spinach, phyllanthus niruri, bottle gourd, berries, cucumber, garlic, turmeric, ginger and cumin. Reduce excess canned foods, raw salads, oil, sweets and cold refrigerated foods. Regular gentle exercise, drinking enough water, rest and goodsleep will be beneficial.
