I am 40 yrs old and few days back suddenly my BP shot up to 200/110 when i was in office and i was very shocked. My heart beat became very fast and i suffered anxiety. It took a while to settle down and i have taken AMLONG BP tablet and also Telma 20. Until then my BP was very much under control mostly at 126/80. I was very panicked by that situation and took BP tablets to control the situation. Later i underwent few tests and below are the results.

Serum Creatinine: 0.9 Random Plasma glucose: 93 CBP: RBC was at 5.63 and rest all were normal BP: 130/90

Lipid Profile: Serum Status: Clear Tryglycerides: 195 Total Cholesterol: 286 LDL: 198 HDL: 49 VLDL: 39 Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio: 5.84 LDL/HDL Ratio: 4.04

ECG: HR:97,P:94ms, PR:152ms, QRS:99ms, QT/QTc: 330/421 ms, P/QRS/T:67/14/47 RV5/SV1: 1.201/0.442mV. Diagnosis Information: Sinus Rhythm Incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block.

Please do evaluate above results, my condition and help me with your findings.

Based on above results our family dr had suggested Telma20/1per day and ROSEDAY10/1perday for cholesterol. By continuing this medication what are the potential side effects, please explain.

I am more interested in natural healing, If there is any alternate medication in Patanjali/Ayurveda, keeping my current condition in view, please do provide the medication/food habits I am ready to switch to natural healing.

Your time and advise greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

As with your concern, you can take herbal medicines that will help to control the lipid levels, your blood pressure and also that will support the function of the heart. Please do have regular checkups to asses the condition and to decide on the medicines and its dosage. As with the bundle branch block, please do have regular checkups and especially if you have any symptoms. It is left untreated but monitored with regular checkups.

Divya Mukta Vati, Arjuna Capsules for Heart diseases and Divya Medohar Vati can be taken for a month and then reviewed.

Include more vegetables and fruits, garlic, ginger, horsegram, mushrooms, walnuts, soya, olive oil, avocados, beans, cumin, onion and oats. Reduce excess canned foods, fried fatty foods and salt. Yogasanas like Navasana, Parvatasana, Shavasana, Mandookasana, Padmasana, Shaskasana and Trikonasana are beneficial. Pranayamam can also be practised everyday.
