A hike in the morning blood sugar levels needs to be monitored regularly and then the medicine must be adjusted based on the readings. The waning insulin, dawn effect or the somogyi effect are the factors that increase the blood sugar level in the morning. Please let me know the consecutive values taken at 3am and in the morning around 8am to guide you further.

Medicines like Nisakadakadi kwath - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily and Divya madunashini vati can be taken for a month and then reviewed.

Include complex carbohydrates, dark green leafy vegetables, bitter gourd, fenu greek, ginger, legumes, jamun seeds, beans, mushrooms, cinnamon, garlic, salmon, avocados, turmeric and bottle gourd. Avoid excess sugar, fat, oil and salt. Try to control the weight which will be beneficial. Yogasanas like Baddakonasan, Matsyasana, Bhujangasana, Padmasana, Paschimottasana, Trikonasana, Halasana and Mayurasana are beneficial.

Hello,Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorders where the insufficient insulin levels causes improper absorption of glucose levels from blood.Raised blood sugar levels damage vital organs thus is termed a silent killer.Firstly it is advisable to undergo few investigations like HbA1c, RFT, LFT and thyroid functioning test.It is advisable to start oral medication to avoid complications to develop further.Ayurvedic medicines recommended are as follows-1. Madhunashini vati- 2 tablets twice a day with luke warm water after meals.2.varadi kshaya- 30ml in equal amount of water twice a day after meals.3.Mehantaka ras- 250mg with luke warm water twice a day.To avoid retinopathy vasan kusmakar ras twice a day in dose of 250mg or dhatri lauh in doseof 250 mg twice a day with luke warm water is advisable.Regular brisk walking and yogic exercises should be practiced to lower down the blood sugar levels.Intake of direct sugar should be avoided.small meals in an interval of 2 hours should be taken to avoid hypoglycemia.Regular sugar levels check up should be there every month to monitor the sugar levels.
