My mother is 60 years old and has been a chronic kidney patient for the last 4 years. She has been a diabetic for the last 25 years. She has been doing dialysis since Dec 2009. Currently doing dialysis 3 times a week. Is there a cure in ayurveda for a patient who has been suffering from CKD for this long? Please let me know.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

There no cure as such for the chronic kidney disease, however, there are certain ayurvedic herbs which acts as supportive and prevents kidney damage. As your mother is undergoing periodic dialysis, it is better to follow that on regular basis and she can consume certain medications which are helpful for maintaining proper health. However, proper diet is important for controlling this and lifestyle modification is important.

Following medicines are helpful for your mother such as Package Medicine for Kidney disease that contains multiple medicines which are helpful and however, you may consult an ayurvedic doctor for actual assessment of the patient and you may proceed accordingly.

With regards,

Dr. Vijay.
