Hepatitis b is an infectious disease which is seen affecting the liver. The initial test for hepatitis will show the result of positive HbsAg. However in majority patients, this subsides in a month and HbsAg turns negative. If the result is seen to be positive even after a month or upto six months then another test by name HbeAg shall be checked as to find out viral replication. If present then both allopathic and ayurvedic system of treatment shall be taken without delay.

In ayurveda the condition can be correlated to an extend as Kamila. Here the patient will have to follow ayurvedic medicines along with strict diet to overcome. Ayurvedic medicines include Amrithotharam kashayam, Patolakaturohinyadi kashayam and arogya vardhini tab as an initial line.
