Ayurvedic Medicine

I understand your concern with recurring sebaceous cysts. Sebaceous cyst occurs in the sebaceous gland as a lump due to the excessive sebum that normally lubricates the skin and hair. It is recurrent in some due to the constant rubbing of a particular place or harmonal changes. It is seen as a lump with a black head plugged in and may be inflamed with swelling or redness. Usually they grow slow, but when inflamed incision and drainage is advised. With that, it tends to recur due to the lining which is responsible for the recurrence. So surgery by removing the entire cyst helps for a better prognosis. It also causes a cosmetic concern which bothers a lot.

Ayurvedic medicines like Varunadi kvath - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily and Divya Vriddhivaadhika Vati can be taken for a month and reviewed. It can be used for 3months and then reviewed.

Include horse gram, turmeric, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, garlic and ginger. Reduce excess cold refrigerated foods, meat, canned foods, sugar, salt, refined flour and oil. Try to drink enough water and exercise daily. Wear comfortable cotton clothes which is better for the skin.

Hello,

Excessive secretion from sebaceous gland may happen due to hormonal activities and due to metabolic activities, if there are any problems associated with metabolism and disturbed hormonal active, glands may over act and lead to secretions and at the same time if you are not able to take care physically and hygiene wise, then there are chances of clogging of sebaceous gland pores and also lead to formation of sebaceous cysts and commonest sites are nape of the neck, buttocks, in males on scrotum, axilla or underarms, and in females sometimes on vaginal area or in labial folds. So, after considering all factors, you can start taking medicines that helps to balance hormonal activity and glandular functioning. Following medicines such as Kanchanara Guggulu, Divya Khadiradi Vati KaishoraGuggulu, and Triphala Guggulu, all tablets one-one twice daily after food is indicated and these medicines are having good properties as healing nature and also helps to reduce the size of cyst and infection can also be minimized.

Diet wise, it is always better to reduce fatty foods and spicy foods, and oily foods. Consume fiber rich food and green leafy vegetables, and drink plenty of water which is also very important.
