Ayurvedic Medicine

Your symptoms suggests Grahani which means the inability of the small intestine to hold and the urge to defeacate. This is due to the weak digestive fire causing problems due to the indigested food. It can be related with the symptoms of Irritable bowel syndrome.

You can take medicines like Kalasakadi kasayam - 15ml with 60ml warm water before food twice daily, Vilvadi lehyam - 1tsp after food twice daily, Dadimastaka churnam - 1tsp with buttermilk for a month.

Eat healthy easily digestable cooked food. Curry leaf and buttermilk are very helpful in this condition. Avoid foods like beans, potatoes, dal, cabbage when your digesion is weak. Reduce excess salt, sugar, oily fried foods. Practise Yogasanas like Vajrasana, Sukhasana, Trikonasana, Paschimottasana, Pavanamuktasana, Padmasana, Savasana which will improve the digestion. Pranayamam and meditation will help to reduce the anxiety and stress which will strengthen your mind also.

Hello,

IBS or irritable bowel syndrome is a condition in which there is chronic abdominal pain, discomfort and bloating. Here it is mentioned that you have urge to defecation and that the stool varies in complexion. This tells that you do not have diarrhea and that there are no chances of you having IBS as well.

There is increased Ama or toxin in your bowel which is creating the issue. A clinical examination by an ayurvedic physician is very much important as to rule out the issue. Here i shall suggest you a few medicines which can be taken as an initial line of treatment.

  • Udarasudha (manufactured by santhigiri) - This is a patent ayurvedic medicine available in syrup form. It is powerful and has capability to heal several abdominal disorders. It shall be taken at a dosage of 1 tsp twice daily after food.

  • Abhayarishta - This is an ayurvedic medicine available as a fermented product. It shall be taken at a dosage of 30 ml three times a day. It shall preferably be taken after food.

Follow these medicines for a month and kindly follow up.
