My son Amanya Singh 9 years old is diagnosed itp since 14 Jul 18. He is taking steroids (omnacortil) to stable the platelets count. Initially it worked for 2 weeks but later on it remains between 50 - 70 thousand. The worst part is he is gaining weight appx 42 kg now cheeks are swollen shoulder and stomach is also increased with unwanted hair. Platelets count has decreased to 44000 latest 22 Sep 18. No symptoms of bleeding and rashes on kindly suggest me of ayurvedic treatment/medicine which could be taken along with steroids.

इडियोपैथिक थ्रोम्बोसाइटोपेनिया एक ऐसी स्थिति है जिसमें प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली प्लेटलेट्स पर हमला करती है। कृपया अपनी एलोपैथी दवाओं के साथ निम्नलिखित दवाएं दें। कृपया आगे की जटिलताओं से बचने के लिए नियमित चेकअप कराएं। प्लेटलेट्स 20000 से कम होने पर अस्पताल में भर्ती होने की आवश्यकता होगी।

Lohasava जैसी आयुर्वेदिक दवाइयां- रोजाना दो बार भोजन के बाद 20 ml, गिलोय घन वटी - 2 tablets भोजन से पहले दो बार और Punarnava mandura lehyam - 1tsp भोजन के बाद दो बार एक महीने के लिए लिया जा सकता है।

कम भूख लगने पर सूप लेने से ऊर्जा के स्तर में सुधार होगा और बेहतर स्वास्थ्य होगा। जामुन, पपीता के पत्ते, खजूर, अनार, ड्रमस्टिक के पत्ते, पालक, चुकंदर की जड़, घी गुड़, दाल, तुलसी और आंवले को शामिल करें। अतिरिक्त डिब्बाबंद खाद्य पदार्थ, मसालेदार भोजन, चीनी, नमक, तेल और ठंडे खाद्य पदार्थों को कम करें। अच्छा आराम, पर्याप्त नींद और परिवार का समर्थन फायदेमंद होगा।

Idiopathic thrombocytopenia is a condition in which the immune system attacks the platelets. Please give the following medicines along with your allopathy medicines. Please do have regular checkups to avoid further complications. Hospitalisation will be required if the platelets reduces less than 20000.

Ayurvedic medicines like Lohasava- 20ml after food twice daily, Giloy ghan vati - 2tablets twice daily before food and Punarnava mandura lehyam - 1tsp after food twice daily can be taken for a month and then reviewed.

Having soups if there is less appetite will be beneficial to improve the energy levels and will support for a better health.

Include berries, papaya leaves, dates, pomegranate, drumstick leaves, spinach, beet root, ghee jaggery, dal, tulsi and gooseberry. Reduce excess canned foods, processed foods, spicy foods, sugar, salt, oil and cold refrigerated foods. Good rest, sufficient sleep and support from the family will be beneficial.
