Hello Madam,

Currently you are on over weight category based on your body mass index. So, when it comes to Divya Medohar Vati alone for weight reduction at this point of time, it is not a good idea though it is not having any side effects if you are taking even if you are planning for conception as Divya Medohar Vati combination contains Triphala churna, Guggulu, Shilajit etc which are in minute doses. It seems you are having excess body fat which has to be reduced with regular exercises and you can continue Divya Medohar Vati till you get confirmation of pregnancy and once your pregnancy is detected, you may plan to stop this medicine, meanwhile you can continue your Thyronorm tablet as usually as it is necessary to continue as per prescription and along with that doctors may prescribe folic acid supplements too which you can continue.

Diet, exercises, yoga are important. You can practice Yoga Poses like Janushirsasana, Viparitkarini, Hastapadasana, Halasana, Marajaryasana, Matsyasana, Anulomaviloma Pranayama are indicated for you. Maintain low fat diet and follow proper timings in food intake and do not skip morning breakfast and consume less food that causes gases like potato, cauliflower, cabbage etc.

Your weight range lies in the obese category as your BMI is 28. Divya Medohar Vati contains triphala, vayuvidanga, shuddha guggulu, kutki, nishoda, shilajith, babool which helps to reduce excess kapha and the excess muscle, fat. Thus it helps to reduce weight. It can be taken while you are trying to conceive and you can stop it once you confirm your pregnancy.

After conception, it is necessary to eat nourishing foods that will help in the development of the foetus. Foods like milk, ghee, rice and soups must be included.

Include ginger, cabbage, cinnamon, bittergourd, plantain stem, turmeric, drumstick, horsegram and honey to reduce weight. Avoid excess salt, sugar, refined flour and oil. Yogasanas like Padahastasana, Matsyasana, Dhanurasana, Uthithapadasana, Supported Sarvangasana, Halasana, Utkadasana, Trikonasana and Halasana are beneficial which can be practised everyday.
