Cholesterol or an increase in LDL and triglycerides are seen primarily due to poor diet and lack of exercise. Cholesterol is seen as a lifestyle disorder and natural remedies has a great role in healing this condition. Here area few conditions which can help reduce cholesterol level.

  • Include garlic in your diet. Garlic is seen as an excellent source for reducing cholesterol in the body. It can be taken either as paste or 3 - 4 cloves mixed with water every morning empty stomach.

  • Include oats, beans and psylium in your diet. They consist of soluble fibers and are effectively seen to lower cholesterol.

  • Red rice yeast is seen as one of the finest natural remedy which easily helps to lower cholesterol. This is primarily due to the presence of statin in it which is the one that is found in all prescribed drugs for lowering cholesterol.

  • Consume fatty fishes such as salmon, herring , sardines etc which is rich in omega 3 fatty acid. This will easily enable lower the cholesterol level. It is seen typically lowering tryglyceride component of cholesterol.

High cholesterol is related to the life style diseaes.Hence home remedies can be used as an important tool in treating cholesterol.The most common natural remedies for cholesterol includes:
  1. Garlic is found to be very effective.Studies shows that garlic not only reduces the LDL, but raise the HDL and decrease the amount of fat in the body.Chew 3-4 garlic along with some water everyday.

  2. Add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lime juice to a cup of hot water and drink it in empty stomach.This helps to get rid of excess of fat in the body.

  3. Brown rice is particularly high in fiber, which is essential in e cholesterol lowering diet.

  4. Beetroots and carrots are effective in lowering the cholesterol.Beetroot prevents the formation of LDL.

  5. Apples are high in pectin which lowers the cholesterol level.

  6. Olive oil proves to be very effective in lowering the LDL,raising the HDL and prevent the formation of forming clots.
