Precaution and food during jaundice this question feed

I am 39 male and sufferiing from jaundice for fourth time.my billurubin total/direct is 6.0/2.5. Sgpt {alt} / Sgot {ast} is 55/170 and alkaline phosphate is 386.I am alcoholic but can quit for mnts.but once started could not stop until my stomach pains a lot with huge gastric.my bp was high so taking ramicard 5 mg.but now it is 100/70.I have left drinking for last 16 days and eating only boiled radice with rice.so sir pls.tell me whst to do.

Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

All your blood values are high and the recurrent occurence of jaundice shows a problem with the liver. Diet, alocohol intake, physical exercise are considerable factors for a healthy liver. Please mention the other results like ultrasound and any diagnosis made in your consulatation to guide you further. Jaundice is a symptom which occurs due to the excessive bilirubin due to a infection, obstruction to the bile flow or any other causes like haemolysis. Consumption of alcohol will also worsen the function of the liver cells.

Medicines like Patola Katurohinyadi kasayam - 15ml with 60ml of warm water before food twice daily, Divya Arogya vardhini vati, Triphala churnam - 1tsp at bedtime with warm water can be taken for a month and reviewed.

A diet with light carbohydrates and protein will help to regenerate the liver cells. Include cucumber, bottle gourd, phyllanthus niruri, buttermilk, barley, grapes, orange, lemon, tomato, radish, beet root leaves, basil leaves, gooseberry, turmeric. Try to avoid fats like butter, excess oil, fermented products, pulses or sugar as they are heavy to digest. Try to include more cooked food with little raw fruits or vegetables as it will be easy to digest. Heavy food will burden the liver. Drink boiled water. Yogasanas like Paschimottasana, Halasana, Shalabhasana, Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, matsyendrasana, Janusirsasana helps to improve the function of the liver. Rest is very important which will help you recover better. Do have regular checkups and and blood tests to know the changes in the values.
