Suggesion for harnia

i am 35 years old male suffering from harnia in right side of bottom of stomach.plz suggest me yoga n prayanam n medicine

Hernia is basically treated based on the symptoms. It occurs due to the protrusion of the intestine through the weakest spot in the abdomen. If there is no pain or discomfort, it can be managed with a healthy life style.

Medicines like Abaya aristam - 20ml after food twice daily can be taken for a month to improve the digestion and bowel movements, Hingutriguna lehyam - 1tsp before food twice daily can be taken for 3months and then reviewed.

Eat healthy cooked warm food. Include figs, whole grains, yam, prunes, raisins, complex carbohydrates, fiber and avoid constipation. Reduce excess oil, sugar, salt and refined flour. Practise Yogasanas like Vrkasana, Uthitha padasana, Paschimottasana, Padahastasana, Supta Vajrasana, Uttana padasana, Savasana, Yoga nidra. Make sure there is not too much pressure and avoid any positions that cause pain. Practise Pranayamam like Ujjayi, Kapalabhati which helps to strengthen the abdominal muscles along with anuloma, viloma practise.Have regular checkups. If there is pain, symptoms of infection, growth in size that bulges please consult with your doctor at the earliest to avoid complications.

The main principle in healing hernia is to strengthen the wall of the abdominal organs. This is made possible only through yoga.

There are several exercises available for healing hernia. Those cases which needs surgery shall be done without delay, while others can be healed through yoga.

There are several yoga postures available. Firstly there is a posture in which one has to lie down, raise leg keeping hand on hernia position. Raise the leg up and down for some time. This helps in strengthening the lower abdominal muscles.

Pavanmuktasana, uttiyasana, uttan padasana are a few other yoga postures which can help you at this stage. It is always better to practice yoga under a trained yoga master for the best outcome. Avoid all those oily and fast foods and those hard to digest as much as possible.

Hernia occurs when an organ squeezes out through a weak abdominal muscles. In allopathy surgery is performed and a mesh is placed there as a support in order to prevent the prolapse.

Stick to a healthy vegetarian diet. Do not take foods that create constipation or gas like potato, dal, deep fried items, bengal gram, pickles etc.

Drink plenty of water and fruit juices.Take a mild laxative daily .You can take triphala choorna along with honey at bedtime daily.Do not do any activities that pressurises the abdomen like weight lifting, bending , jogging, jerking, hunching etc.
