Doctor's Ayurvedic Advice:-

Jaundice is a symptom seen due to the increased bilirubin. So it is necessary to find the cause of it with relevant investigations like liver function test and ultrasound scan. The causes of jaundice includes inflammation of the liver, hemolytic jaundice or due to obstruction in the biliary duct due to gall stones. It is treated based on the cause. Please let me know your test reports to guide you further.

Ayurvedic medicines like Divya Sarvakalp kwath and Liverex Tablet for liver can be taken for a month and then reviewed.

Include ginger, goose berry, garlic, berries, turmeric and bottle gourd. Cooked warm food is better than raw salads. Reduce excess sugar, tea, carbonated beverages, coffee, meat, spicy, cold refrigerated foods and salt. Eating healthy food and regular exercise will be beneficial to improve the function of the liver and also for a better health.

Hello, Jaundice is diagnosed by observing yellowish discoloration on eyes ,nails urine etc.It is confirmed after performing LFT test that is Liver function test were the bilirubin content in the blood will be above 1.2 mg/dl. Bilirubin gets produced after break down of RBC cells. Other reasons for Jaundice are infection of liver cells or obstruction of bile duct. Ayurvedic medicine; Patoladi kashya plain or with combination of guduchy kashya will help. Kumarysava with arogya vardhini vati will also do wonders in case of jaundice. Diet: Appetite and hunger are main the criteria in case of jaundice ,so till you feel proper appetite and hunger never start with heavy food. Light food like soups and smashed kichadi processed with bitter vegetables like methi ,bitter-guard,drumstick will be good. Fruits like orange, pomegranate can be taken. Home remedies:Pomegranate skin boiled with water and prepare concoction. Also can use bitter flavoured food like alovera , bhumi amalaki etc.Barley water is also useful. As fat metabolism will be low fatty food should be avoided. Precaution :Avoid fats and heavy meals. take sufficient rest , have warm water or ginger boiled water/ ginger juice to maintain metabolism. Yoga and pranayama: As liver is situated on the right side of the abdomen all TWISTING ASNAS will be useful like ardha mathseynedrasan, vakrasan ,arda katichakrasan, trikonasan, etc Pranayama: Nadi shudhi ,sheethali pranyama, mild kaplabathi will be useful.
